A few term changes:
- from: Giant card, Mastercard, Visa Gift Cards and American Express cards or coupons cannot be used to purchase gift cards, to: Coupons cannot be used towards the purchase of a gift card
- from: Limit $2,000 per household to $500 limit per household on all gift cards
Many locations permit purchasing up to $5,000 in gift cards in a single transaction (and the system allows it), despite the terms stating a lower limit.
Flexible Rewards may be redeemed at Giant gas stations and participating Shell stations for a fuel discount. 100 points = $0.10 discount per gallon (20-gallon max). Point redemptions are capped at 1,500 points per use = $1.50 off per gallon. Customers must enter a phone number at the pump to get their discount.
It is possible to connect Flexible Rewards with a Fuel Rewards account and use ALT ID at Shell instead of the phone number. Fuel Rewards program allows combining points from multiple partners for additional discounts.
