Basically it comes down to this:
“When the points program ends on June 13, 2026, any account with at least 500 points at that time will have their points redeemed as Something Extra® Dollars rounded to the nearest dollar value.
Any account that does not have at least 500 points will not have any earned points redeemed into Something Extra® Dollars and all points will be removed.”
But good news is, “with the conclusion of the points program, Something Extra ® is evolving to deliver even more value through Extra Perks.” Will the new program be more rewarding? For some people, probably yes – it all depends on their shopping habits.
“These new perks move beyond points to provide dollars-off offers based on how Members shop, department-specific deals on the items they love”, etc. sounds very much along the lines of Safeway/Albertsons program, “Grocery Rewards”. The jury is out on this one.
