Target Circle credit and debit cards earn 5% at Target, but they exclude Target gift cards. Target deals involving a “bonus” Target gift card are actually set up to charge full price for it and to discount the other item(s) accordingly.
Bonus Target gift cards from online orders are linked to the purchasing account automatically. While some may find this convenient, keep in mind that other people would not be able to use such gift cards.
