Unfortunately, many Dollar General locations do not accept credit cards as a form of payment for third party gift cards, even though that’s not their official corporate policy. In addition, they throttle gift card activation – make sure to check your receipt and ask for a manual refund in case the activation fails.
Some of the multi-brand cards swappable for electronic gift cards online likely include Lowe’s as an option (it is hard to tell from the ad though).
Go Shop card, pictured in the ad, is a physical gift card that works at a number of locations including Lowe’s (and may be used to purchase third party gift cards there, though YMMV – it runs on Visa Debit network and the issuing bank often declines repeat purchases at the same location within a short time window).
