Tips & Ideas
Normally point redemption for Best Buy e-gift cards ($25-$100) yields 2 cents per point, while for all other brands only 1 cent per point, making it a terrible deal. Using 40% fewer points toward third party gift cards during this promo is less terrible, but still terrible nonetheless.
Best use? Get a Best Buy Rewards Certificate and apply it toward merchandise purchase – the amount covered by it is not subject to state sales tax. On the other hand, if you live in a state that does not have sales tax, Best Buy gift cards are a better option, since unlike Rewards Certificates, they never expire.

best buy gift cards can be redeemed at 2 cents per point. everything else is 1 cpp. now you are getting a 40% boost one something that is 50% of face value? is that a good value? eh
