The terms of the clipped coupon for in-store purchases are straight forward: get 4X fuel points when you buy participating LOCAL gift card(s). Other types of One4All gift cards are not included in the promotion, and neither are any other third party gift cards. This is different from Harris Teeter, which is running a one week promo on all third party gift cards.

While the terms of the online offer exclude national retailers and give some examples of those, it appears that this 4X promotion is in fact offered on Apple, Starbucks, DoorDash and fixed value Visa/Mastercard gift cards sold online, as usual during such promos. Amazon, which is excluded per these terms, is not even sold online! It is impossible to determine whether it wasn’t coded as intended or the terms weren’t worded properly (or both), though the mention of Amazon does suggest the latter.

In effect, the exclusion applies to most One4All cards sold online (only Shop Local variety participate), but it does not appear to apply to other third party gift cards. Same terms are shown on Harris Teeter gift card website, and same logic as described above is in effect there as well.

Use a credit card that offers bonus for spending at grocery stores, such as 4x Membership Rewards from American Express Gold Card (Eugene’s referral link) or 5% cashback from Chase Freedom Flex during Q1. Keep in mind that online purchases are processed by Blackhawk and won’t code as groceries.

Every 100 Kroger fuel points equals 10 cents off per gallon, up to 35 gallons of gasoline or diesel. The discount is capped at $1 off per gallon for 1,000 points in most states where Kroger Co. stores operate. See this post for details about the program.
